What is Tempered Glass?

When ordinary glass has been made, it will go through a process by which heat and pressure will be applied to it. After this treatment, the glass becomes harder and now is called tempered glass. The weakest point of this glass is receiving a heavy impact from its edges. If it breaks, it will crack and become small pieces like balls. These pieces are not as sharp as ordinary glass, however, you still have to be careful when picking them up.

How to clean the glass?

Tempered glass is a good sanitary material to use for a cutting board as they are easily cleaned. They have four rubber feet so that they are easy to lift and not slippery. the glass itself is dishwasher safe, however, we do not recommend its use due to the presence of the rubber feet.

Can I use it in an oven?

The answer is "NO". The glass is heat resistant, however, we only recommend you to use it as a heat resistant placement and a cutting surface.
